Brian Gevry, CFA | Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer
Brian L. Gevry, CFA, is CEO and CIO of Boyd Watterson Asset Management, LLC, responsible for the strategic leadership of the company and the oversight of the company’s investment processes and committees. Brian also serves as a Manager of Boyd Watterson and as Chairman of the Real Estate Investment Committee. Prior to his role as CEO, Brian served as Boyd Watterson’s Chief Operating Officer from 2000–2006. Previous leadership roles with the company include Executive Vice President and member of the Operating Committee of Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co., Boyd Watterson’s predecessor company. Brian also held positions as a fixed income portfolio manager and senior strategist on the Conservative Value Equity and Fixed Income committees. Brian began his career with the company in 1991. Brian holds a CFA Charter from CFA Institute, an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, and a BA from Cleveland State University. He is a member of CFA Society Cleveland and of CFA Institute.
Timothy Hyland | president, National Director of Sales and Marketing
Timothy M. Hyland serves as National Director of Sales and Marketing for all institutional and retail sales. Tim also serves as a Manager of Boyd Watterson Asset Management. Tim joined predecessor company Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co. in 1994 as Executive Vice President and National Sales Manager. Prior to joining the company, Tim held the position of Senior Vice President with McDonald & Co. Securities, Inc. since 1990. Tim joined McDonald & Co. in 1985 as an Associate Vice President and was elected to the firm’s Presidents’ Council for top producers in 1989. He began his career as an Account Executive with Smith Barney Harris & Upham in 1982 and holds a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Brian Convery, CFA | Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Boyd Watterson
Brian A. Convery, CFA, is the Deputy CIO of Boyd Watterson, responsible with the CIO for developing and overseeing investment strategies for the company. He is the primary portfolio manager for Boyd Watterson’s private state government fund and a member of the Real Estate Investment Committee. In addition, Brian manages the company’s research and quantitative teams. Brian joined Boyd Watterson Asset Management in 2011. Prior to joining the company, Brian was a senior investment analyst with Key Private Bank in Cleveland. Previously, he was a partner at WR Huff Asset Management. Brian has also served as a management consultant with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. Brian holds a CFA Charter from CFA Institute, an MBA from Georgetown University, and a BA from the University of Dayton. He is a member of the CFA Society of Cleveland and CFA Institute.
PATTY JAMIESON | executive vice president, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Patricia J. Jamieson is the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Boyd Watterson Asset Management Company. Prior to joining Boyd Watterson in 2016, Patty Jamieson was with Keycorp until 2013, where she held various executive director positions that reported directly to the Chief Financial Officer since 1998. Patty currently serves on the board of directors of Centrus Energy Corp, a public company. She has also served on the board of Titanium Asset Management Company, which was then a public company. Patty holds a BS in Accounting from John Carroll University.
Michael Bee | executive vice president, institutional sales
Michael E. Bee serves as an Executive Vice President for the Institutional Sales division. He also serves as a Manager of Boyd Watterson Asset Management. Michael joined Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co. (Boyd Watterson's predecessor company) as a research associate in 1990. Michael has served in many roles between the company's offices in Cleveland and Chicago, including senior investment strategist and large-cap equity and fixed income portfolio manager. Prior to joining the company, Michael was a senior financial analyst within the Corporate Trust Division of the Northern Trust Company in Chicago. Michael holds an MBA from John Carroll University and a BS in economics from DePaul University. He is also a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and serves on the Investment Committee of the Laurel School for Girls.
STEPHEN PERRY | EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Stephen A. Perry serves as a member of the Real Estate Investment Policy Committee and is responsible for advising the real estate team on GSA property strategy and client service. Prior to joining Boyd Watterson in 2014, Steve was the President/Executive Director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, where he continues to serve as an Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees. Previously, Steve served as the 17th Administrator (CEO) of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), a position appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. While at the GSA, Steve was responsible for overseeing the agency's 14,000 employees dedicated to the improvement of the workplace for 1.2 million federal workers housed in government owned or leased properties by managing assets, maximizing value in acquisitions, and implementing technology solutions. He also held various managerial positions at The Timken Company, including Senior Vice President for Human Resources, Purchasing and Corporate Communications, and served in the Cabinet of Ohio Governor George Voinovich as Director of the Department of Administrative Services. Steve has also served as an active participant in a number of organizations, including the Board of Directors for Labor Policy Association, Manufacturing Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, and the National Association of Manufacturing, and has served on numerous boards involved in community service. Steve holds an MS in Management from Stanford University and a BA in Accounting from the University of Akron.
James Shirak | executive vice president
James R. Shirak is Director Emeritus of BWAM and serves as a member of the Real Estate Investment Committee. Prior to joining Boyd Watterson in 2000 as a fixed income senior strategist and portfolio manager, Jim was founder and principal of Sterling Asset Management in Cleveland, Ohio. Previously, he held the position of head of fixed income for BP America, Inc.’s Pension Plan and Savings and Investment Plan. Jim also served as director of fixed income for the Investment Centre and head of fixed income for the Pension Plan of Republic Steel and Lincoln National Corp. Jim holds an MBA and a BA from Ohio University. Jim is a member of CFA Society of Cleveland, CFA Institute, and is a past President of the Bond Club of Cleveland.
