The Opportunity

Boyd Watterson is seeking a junior fixed income portfolio manager to join its investment team.   This position will require the ability to assist in the management of a broad array of fixed income investment portfolios within a model based system.   Duties will include the monitoring of portfolio positions relative to client guidelines and adjusting portfolios for cash flows, including client contributions and distributions.   This position will also work closely with the senior trading staff to assist in the trading of fixed income securities.  Other responsibilities will include working on special projects and analysis (often quantitative) that support and contribute to the investment decision making process and business development opportunities.


Job Requirements:

Candidates experience should include trade implementation, trade execution, portfolio management, investment decision making, credit analysis, relative value assessment, and financial modeling.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics or Finance
  • CFA or commitment to completing the CFA program is preferred
  • Successful completion of the Series 65 exam is required
  • 1-3 years of related investment experience
  • Highly analytical and strong quantitative skills
  • Extremely detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
